Adolescent / Teen Individual Therapy

Becoming an adolescent has always been an exciting and challenging period of time. I enjoy working with teens as their perceptions are often insightful and they are actively making meaning in so many areas of their lives. Yet the unique pressures on the current generation sometimes require additional resourcing for the teen and their families. At times things just feel like too much, out of hand, and frankly a bit scary. Multiple symptoms (eg. anxiety, depression, fighting with parents and siblings) can show up to alert us that trouble lies under the surface. Together we explore what is getting in the way of healthier functioning and positive relationships. The format of therapy may be individual therapy with some family member involvement, and at times we may choose a family therapy model depending on context.
